Photoshop portrait project

For my second project in my Contemporary Media Class, we are creating a colorful grunge portrait usin Photoshop. It took four steps, the first step was to open up photo booth and take a picture with the white and black effect. Then I had to go to Photoshop to edit everything and the layer I’m using one from our Free High Res Paper Texture Set. Then I had to bump up the contrast,  to make another layer to draw over and then I lowered the opacity of the layer then made the images merge.

In conclusion, I'm really proud of what i done for my first time and i think its a success.

What Is Contemporary Media

what does contemporary media mean to you and how do you use it?

it's like photos,videos, we do it for the class on multimedia i use it ever day to watch videos

New media most commonly refers to content available on-demand through the Internet, accessible on any digital device, usually containing interactive user feedback and creative participation. Common examples of new media include websites such as online newspapers, blogs, wikis, video games and social media. A defining characteristic of new media is dialogue. New Media transmit content through connection and conversation. It enables people around the world to share, comment on, and discuss a wide variety of topics. Unlike any of past technologies, New Media is grounded on an interactive community.^[
